WOODLANDS have yet to finalise when they will be playing their first-round Heavy Woollen Cup tie at Skelmanthorpe.

The All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Premier Division champions cannot play on Sunday, April 19 - the designated date for the ties - as their hosts are in preliminary-round action in the Drakes Huddersfield League Sykes Cup at home to Nortonthorpe.

The following Sunday is the first round of the Priestley Cup - the equivalent event in the Bradford League, with Woodlands at home to Batley - and the Sunday after that (May 3) is the first round of the Sykes Cup.

It could be that the Skelmanthorpe v Woodlands tie will be played on Sunday, May 10 - the date for the second round of the Heavy Woollen Cup - and that the winners of that will have to play their second-round tie later on.

There are four all-Bradford League ties on April 19 - Ossett v Cleckheaton, Batley v Farsley, Methley v Gomersal and Hanging Heaton v Buttershaw St Paul's.

Of the other Bradford League teams, Scholes face South Yorkshire visitors Wickersley Old Village, Wrenthorpe have a derby against heavyweights Wakefield Thornes, Townville visit Scholes (Huddersfield League), and Birstall are at Cawthorne.

Crossbank Methodists have drawn the short straw of a match at holders Shepley, while New Farnley and Sandal also have Huddersfield League opposition with trips to Kirkburton and Shelley respectively.
