ROCK-BOTTOM Steeton return to Cougar Park tomorrow when they face an in-form Shelley side in the North West Counties League First Division North.

The locals will be hoping their side can bounce back from last week's 5-1 defeat at title-chasing Emley as they aim to kick start their season.

Steeton's manager, Roy Mason, is still upbeat despite his side's lowly position and insists the mood in the camp is still good.

He said: "We have had a good week's training and the lads are in good spirits. I felt that we played well for long periods of the game last week, but we need to be more ruthless in front of goal and cut out making some of the silly mistakes that are costing us.

"We are a young side and sometimes play with a bit of naivety. However we have a big week coming up with home games against Shelley and Daisy Hill (next Wednesday), and we really need to get a bit of support down.

"I'd urge anyone who is not doing anything to pop down to Cougar Park and cheer the lads on. It really does make a difference.

Steeton welcome Tawonga Gumboh and Fletcher Paley back into the squad for Saturday and Mason is also hoping to have a new face or two into the squad before tomorrow's game.

The match against Shelley kicks off at 3pm at Cougar Park. The admission prices are £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and those who are 16 and under go free.
