DARLINGTON went above Guiseley in National League North last night after beating the Lions 2-1 at Nethermoor.
Justin Donawa was brought down by Guiseley keeper Marcus Dewhurst after just four minutes and Adam Campbell converted from the spot to put the north-east side in front.
The Lions were level eight minutes later when in-form Kaine Felix netted a fine individual effort.
But former Guiseley player Will Hatfield saw the visitors regain the lead by half-time with a long-range strike.
The Lions drop to seventh, with Darlington leapfrogging them into sixth place.
Meanwhile, Farsley Celtic’s FA Trophy replay at Barnet was postponed for the second time when part of pitch was deemed to be frozen, with the players having arrived and begun warming up.
