BRADFORD City's Eoin Doyle has won League Two's Player of the Month Award...despite playing a grand total of zero minutes for the Bantams in that time.
Of course, Doyle won the award for his goalscoring exploits at City's promotion rivals Swindon Town. He scored five in five games for the league leaders to take his total up to 23 for the season, 12 clear of second place in the charts, his former team-mate Jerry Yates.
Even more remarkably, it was Doyle's third Player of the Month award in a row, the first player ever to record that achievement.
It remains to be seen whether he can continue his scintillating form back at City, after they recalled him from his loan at Swindon earlier this week.
Doyle's award win means that his Bantams team-mate Anthony O'Connor misses out on the prize. The centre-back stood out as Gary Bowyer's team conceded just one goal in five December games.
