Bournemouth 1 Leeds 3

Tresor Kandol started and finished the game with well-taken goals as Leeds bounced back from their first defeat to beat ten-man Bournemouth.

But the gloss was taken off the win when Andy Hughes made a reckless tackle on Scott Golbourne that earned him his fifth yellow card of the season and a suspension.

Leeds made the perfect start, going ahead after only two minutes when Andy Hughes put Kandol in the clear and the striker coolly slid the ball past Neil Moss.

Leeds dominated the early play and looked set to go on and win comfortably but when the second goal didn't come, Bournemouth started to grow in confidence.

Casper Ankergren didn't make a save until half an hour but seven minutes later Bournemouth drew level when Jem Karacan fired home from just outside the area leaving the Leeds keeper clawing at the air.

But they hit back early in the second half when Seb Carole played a one-two with Jermaine Beckford before curling a stunning shot from the edge of the box.

Bournemouth were still dangerous, with former England winger Darren Anderton causing problems as play swung from end to end.

Bournemouth were reduced to ten men when Lee Bradbury was sent off after he elbowed Matt Heath in a clash.

From then on Leeds were comfortable and made sure of the points when Kandol headed home Frazer Richardson's well-placed cross.
