LEVY Nzoungou will make his first Bulls appearance in the mouth-watering friendly with Leeds next week.

John Kear has pencilled in the 21-year-old prop for the Headingley clash after giving him an extra breather following his spell in France.

Nzoungou has been playing regularly for Racing Club Albi since leaving Hull at the end of last season.

His deal with the Bulls officially kicked in on New Year’s Day but he will be spared any involvement against Hunslet on Sunday.

Kear said: “It is too early for Levy because he’s been playing in France.

“We’ve been watching his games there and you wouldn’t expect the pitch in the south of France in the last one he played against Carcassonne. It was ankle deep in mud.

“He’s played about 10 to a dozen times out there so he is game fit. There’ll be no worries about him being ready.

“It’s just a case of monitoring him to make sure we don’t over-play him when we’ve got a season round the corner.

“We need him to have a bit of a rest and then he can do some pre-season training. The likelihood is he will play against Leeds.

“I think I’ll find it difficult to tell players they are going to be rotated in that one. It’s one of every rugby player’s ambitions to play at Headingley Stadium.

"I know we're going to get an opportunity to do it again later in the season when we play that double-header against Dewsbury. But to play against Leeds at Headingley is very special indeed."
