Saddleworth Rangers 24, Dudley Hill 20
Division One leaders Bradford Dudley Hill narrowly lost a nail-biting National Conference encounter at Saddleworth.
Hill took an early 6-2 lead when Barney Hopcroft crossed the whitewash, leaving fellow wingman Neil Wall to add the extra two points.
The Oldham side rallied strongly to establish what appeared to be a match-winning 18-6 advantage, before Paul Baxter's men turned on the gas and fought back to just two points adrift after a Sean Dickinson try and three more Wall goals.
A barnstorming finish ensued as Hopcroft sped in for his second try with three minutes left but Rangers clung on to deny Hill the spoils, reducing their lead at the top to one point.
