JOHN Kear has confirmed that Liam Kirk suffered concussion against Castleford but his neck is "okay".

The injury to the forward was the only negative for Bradford Bulls in their 20-14 win over Tigers, with the homegrown player being stretchered off after a five-minute delay for treatment.

Bulls' head coach Kear revealed: "His neck is okay and he is physically okay but he has suffered a concussion so we have to make sure that we look after him.

"He was unconscious for a short period of time after the first impact and that is why the medics got on there, and both medical teams did an outstanding job in looking after him and getting him off as well."

Kear added: "Liam will have to go through the concussion protocol, so for two days he will do absolutely nothing and then be reassessed and we will look at the steps towards getting him back on the field of play."
