BRADFORD Salem's coach Neil Spence said earlier in the season that their colts could play an important part in their 2019-20 campaign.

The chance for some of them will come tomorrow when they face Baildon in their annual Boxing Day friendly fixture - this time at Shay Lane (12.30).

"It will be a mixture of first teamers, second teamers and colts," explained Salem's chairman Neil Klenk about their squad.

Yorkshire Division Three promotion chasers Baildon will be bringing 26 players, and Dave Duxbury admitted: "They will all get a run-out".

Cleckheaton have named a strong back line for their traditional Fred Scott Memorial Trophy game at home to Old Brodleians (11.00).

Neil Gillan, Cleckheaton's rugby chairman, said: "We have about 80 per cent of our normal backs - Tom and Dale Breakwell, Matt Piper, James Wilson and Ollie Depledge - but the forwards will be more of a mixture.

"Old Brods are bringing a second team as they are challenging Heath for the Yorkshire Division One title."

The North Ribblesdale v Wharfedale Foresters and Otley Invitation XV v Prince Henry's Barbarians matches, at Ribb and Cross Green respectively, both kick-off at 2pm.

The money raised from Otley's game will be split between the Otley Town Mayor's Appeal - to buy a mini bus for local schools - and the Prince Henry's Grammar School Rugby Fund.

Admission is £5, with under-18s free, and there will also be a raffle.
