PETERBOROUGH have indicated they would be open to Callum Cooke making his move to City permanent.

The midfielder has featured 18 times so far for the Bantams after joining on a season-long loan.

Cooke still has 18 months of his contract to run at Peterborough but is not in Darren Ferguson’s plans.

City have not had a specific discussion over the possibility of taking him full-time but Posh would not stand in their way.

Peterborough director of football Barry Fry said: “They couldn’t sign him permanently in August because of financial fair play but maybe they can now.”

Gary Bowyer said: “It’s a season-long loan and we’re just having conversations at the moment checking with the parent clubs to make sure everything’s okay with them.

“We’ve not had anything to suggest they’re not happy.”
