The Aire Rivers Trust are having there final clean-up of the year today at Ry Loaf Meadow entrance is through the Dowley Gap recycling centre. For more information, call Nick Milson on 07378 878857.

LEEDS & DISTRICT ASA

The membership office will be open on Mondays and Fridays from 7pm to 9pm, with the exception of Bank Holidays.

Once again the rivers have been out of condition, with the result that few anglers have been out.

A carp of slightly over 30lb was caught from Knotford last week, the same angler also had one of 25lb, but generally speaking fishing has been difficult.

Match fishing has also suffered owing to the weather, at Kippax Park, the winner was S Pearson who was the only person to catch with a weight of 10lb 8oz.

At Moor Monkton pools, things were better, results: 1 L Smith 83lb 2oz; 2 M Green 43lb 2oz; 3 A Boulton 42lb 4oz.
