A BOYHOOD Bulls fan says it is a dream come true to have joined the club's coaching staff.

Chris Chapman has joined as Bulls' Academy's strength and conditioning coach.

Formerly working with Sheffield Eagles and Dewsbury Rams, Chapman boasts experience from working in football and athletics on his CV.

He says he's delighted at joining the club's 'high performing' Academy.

Champman said: "I am a Bradford supporter so it means the world, it was a no-brainer to come here and I was over the moon when I got the call having looked at the club philosophy.

"We want to build them into strong, powerful athletes and I will be working alongside Leigh (Beattie, Bulls' head of youth) to get what he wants out of the players and he is very development focused which is great.

"You hear coaches speaking about the magic one per cent and this is where you get that – the cold, foggy nights in pre-season and coaches have an impact on that, looking at different methods to get that extra one per cent out of the players."

Beattie has hailed Chapman as a 'great addition' to his staff following an 'intense' first month of pre-season.

Beattie said: "Chris has joined and he has great experience having worked at Dewsbury under Glenn Morrison and Sheffield.

"He has been a great addition - he has come in and he has brought something new to the strength and conditioning programme.

"It shows the club continuing to invest in the Academy to get the lads ready if they are to feature for the Reserves or First Team in years to come."

Bradford Bulls' Academy stars kick off their season with a trip to Hull FC on Sunday, March 1 (noon kick-off).
