THE Bulls are understood to be in talks with former Hull FC prop Levy Nzoungou.

John Kear is looking to add another forward to the pack after the recent capture of Wakefield’s Anthony England.

And 21-year-old Nzoungou is believed to be in his sights as the third winter signing.

Bulls shareholder Mark Sawyer said: “He’d certainly be an interesting player to have a look at. He’d certainly fill a spot.

“Whether or not we can get him is a different matter but a player of that quality would be a target for anybody.”

Nzoungou played most of last season with Doncaster as part of their dual-reg deal with Hull, where he made one appearance.

He has had spells with Melbourne Storm and Toulouse and is currently contracted with French club Albi.

The Bulls will be running with a smaller squad for next season but Kear still anticipates several arrivals before the big kick-off against London Broncos on February 2.

Sawyer added: “He’s got three or four players that we are negotiating with at one club. We are also talking to some others.

“John said a few weeks ago, ‘Leave it to me to recruit and don’t be panicking if we don’t sign anybody straight away’.

“We’ve obviously signed two absolutely cracking players and he’s going to bring in more.

“He just wants to make sure he gets the right player in. He’s got some targets that he’s been talking to for a while and he’s not far off signing another one.

“But we just leave it to him to spend the money on the players he wants. Anybody who has got a coach with John’s experience will be quite happy with doing that.”

With rugby league contracts up at the end of November, Sawyer thanked the players who have now officially left the Bulls.

“We wish them well for the future,” he said. “They have been great servants for the club.”
