BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have been handed what looks to be a favourable home draw for the FA Trophy First Round Proper.

They will host Southern League Division One Central side Halesowen Town, having earned an impressive 2-0 away win at Gloucester City in the Third Qualifying Round yesterday.

Despite being below Avenue in the league pyramid, West Midlands outfit Halesowen will fancy their chances. They stunned Gateshead in the competition yesterday, picking up an excellent 1-0 home win.

Farsley Celtic will also be on home soil. Their reward for a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Workington Reds on Saturday is a tie with Altrincham.

The visitors, who are in the Vanarama National League North alongside Farsley, are in dangerously good form.

They hammered Hereford 5-1 and Gateshead 3-0 in their previous two league games, before securing the big scalp of York City at Bootham Crescent on Saturday, winning 1-0 to set up their first round date with the Celts.

First-round matches are set to take part on Saturday, December 14, with £4,500 up for grabs for the winners.
