ASHLEY Gibson has become the third member of last season's Bradford Bulls squad to join Newcastle Thunder.
The centre, who made just four appearances for John Kear's side during an injury-hit 2019, follows Colton Roche and Mikey Wood in signing for the ambitious League One side.
The former Stanningley ARLFC junior, who was a regular when Bulls earned promotion to the Championship in 2018, said: “I got a call off my agent to say Simon (Finnigan) and Denis (Betts) had been in touch and I really wanted to come up.
"I’ve known about the club for a while and I played for Bradford on the Friday night before the Magic Weekend and it was a real good atmosphere.
“It seemed like the club has a really good fan base and hopefully this year, I can do something good.”
