BULLS' Championship rivals Batley have signed former England hooker Shaun Lunt.
The Bulldogs, coached by former Keighley Cougars boss Craig Lingard, say they beat off competition from a host of clubs to land the signature of the 32-year-old Lunt, who was capped against Australia in the 2010 Four Nations Series down under.
Lunt, who ended the 2019 season on loan from Hull KR to Leeds, was a member of the Rhinos' 2012 Grand Final-winning team during a loan spell from Huddersfield Giants.
Paul Harrison, Batley chief executive, said: "This is a massive signing for the club.
"To have a player with this level of experience is invaluable."
