DIVISION Two leaders Woodlands survived a major scare in the Bradford Sunday Alliance Intermediate Cup, as they scraped past a plucky Lincoln Barbers side 3-2.

Luke Hepton and Luke Dyson scored in the first half for hosts Woodlands, but Barbers, mid-table in Division Three, remained in the contest throughout.

In the end, it took an 87th minute winner from substitute Liam Stewart to send the home side into the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere in the cup, Clayton Albion dished out a beating to visitors AFC Wibsey Reserves, as they romped to a 5-1 victory.

Matthew Artist grabbed a consolation for Wibsey, who have now lost their last three games.

Up in Division One, an early Nicky Ellerton goal set Thornton United on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win over Bramley United.

Gavin Meakin and Danny Walker also found the net for Thornton, with the victory taking them up to fourth.

Finally, in the promotion clash between St Bede's AFC and Royal Clayton in Division Three, it was the former who ran out comfortable 3-1 winners at Southfield Grange.

The victory puts St Bede's in fifth, while Royal Clayton remain in third.
