Council-owned pitches will be closed this weekend
ALL WEEKEND matches on Bradford Council-owned grass pitches have been called off due to wet weather.
A tweet from the council read: "All Bradford Council’s grass sports pitches for games and training will be closed this weekend (9 and 10 November) due to the wet weather."
That means much of the local grassroots football league schedule will be affected.
Local non-league clubs will be hoping the rain subsides with Bradford (Park Avenue), Farsley Celtic and Guiseley all due to be at home on Saturday.
Bradford City - whose match at Macclesfield last month was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch - are away to Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.
