CITY are remaining tight-lipped on Eoin Doyle’s future at Swindon.

The striker took his goal tally for his loan side to a league-leading 13 with a hat-trick at Crawley on Saturday.

The Bantams refuse to discuss whether there is a recall clause in Doyle’s deal, insisting the contract is confidential between the two clubs.

But it is common practice with any season-long loan to have a potential contingency option in January.

Doyle himself expects to play the full campaign at the County Ground.

Speaking to our sister paper Swindon Advertiser, he said: “I am here for the season as far as I am concerned – and hopefully I will be here for the season.

“This is where I want to be. I am enjoying it.”

Swindon boss Richie Wellens said: “I am not sure what the situation is at Bradford.

“I wouldn’t say it is their loss as where are Bradford in the league at the moment?

““When they let him go, what did we see in the next three or four days? They signed three or four players.

“The money they received from us allowed them to go out and get probably two of the best midfield players in our league.

“We had this after seven or eight games when people said we were going to win the league but what will be happening in January?

“Let’s just be good until January and then we will deal with that then.”

Doyle, who is out of contract in the summer, played the opening three games for City before joining Swindon. Under FA rules, players can only appear for two clubs in the same season.
