BULLS fans will be expecting answers on the future of the cash-strapped club when they meet the consortium hoping to take over.

Tonight’s forum at the Tetley’s Stadium at Dewsbury, the home base for next season, is still going ahead despite Chris Brereton pulling out as the head of the group aiming to get control from Andrew Chalmers.

The prospective owner announced he was withdrawing yesterday after growing frustrated by the slow progress of negotiations.

The consortium, which includes Dewsbury chairman Mark Sawyer, are expected to bring in a new face to lead them. Rumoured names to take over the role include Toronto Wolfpack founder Eric Perez.

The RFL remain hopeful of a “swift and positive” outcome with Chalmers keen to sell a club thought to owe well over £500,000 to creditors.

A deal could even go through before the sit-down with the fans.

The next big obstacle facing whoever is in charge will be the monthly pay day a week on Friday. There is also the fear of further unknown debts cropping up.
