Meanwhile, Hull utility back Jake Connor celebrated his 25th birthday with two tries in England men's 25-4 win over Wales in their opening match of the inaugural World Cup Nines.
England led 17-0 at half-time in their pool B match thanks to tries from Daryl Clark, Sam Tomkins - a five-pointer - and Jermaine McGillvary, while Connor struck twice after the break before Mike Butt grabbed a consolation try for Wales.
