TOLLER suffered a thrashing as they were crushed 13-1 by Yorkshire Amateur League Supreme Division leaders Farsley Celtic Juniors, with Danny Lyons netting a magnificent seven.

The magnitude of the away victory was an eye-opener, and a severe shock to Toller's system.

The hosts were only 2-1 down at one stage, but that was as good as it got.

Lyons was not alone in the goal fest, with doubles for Craig Farrand, Joe Firth and Louis Surtees, as the Celts made it eight straight wins.

Elsewhere, Steeton Reserves were quickly 2-0 up, against the run of play, at home to Ryburn United, and although Chris Silkstone hit two quality goals to restore parity, the hosts went in 3-2 up at the interval.

Dan Brock levelled matters though, and Reece Uttley soon put Ryburn in front.

Ryburn keeper Ben Waddington then saved a penalty to deny Steeton before Silkstone completed his hat-trick. Ben Clarkson (2) and George Beaumont netted for Steeton.

In the Premier Division, Wibsey slipped to a 2-0 home defeat to Whitkirk Wanderers, while there were two cracking games in Division Four.

Hosts Farnley Sports were 3-1 ahead, but courtesy of a super Jack Tucker triple, Calverley United turned it round to lead 4-3.

The visitors could not hold on though, and a pair of late goals saw Farnley to a 5-4 win.

Finally, a wonderful contest that could have gone either way saw Tyersal Reserves come from behind to beat Leeds Modernians Thirds 3-2.

It was 2-2 at the break, but Tyersal netted following an 85th minute defensive error to consolidate third spot.
