BULLS prop Ross Peltier admits he has tried to avoid reading the news surrounding off-field matters at the club, as he hopes to get his future secured soon.

With no further progress made on the club's possible takeover today, Bulls' fans and players are still waiting on news and Bradford-born Peltier said the last couple of months have been tricky, as he was not one of the 14 that was secured under contract before the club were placed into special measures.

He said: "It's a difficult time. As players we always find out everything last, but I've tried not to focus on it and just look at other things like the Jamaica game (against England Knights at Headingley) coming up.

"As much as you want to get your future sorted and secured, I've just sat tight and let things play out.

"I don't really look at social media or read much news because there's been a lot of misinformation there but I've done a lot of thinking and it's been all good really."

Peltier also took the time to pay tribute to Jake Webster, with the popular centre leaving to join Keighley Cougars on Tuesday.

He said: "He's a great guy. Webo's one of those people you always want in your dressing room. He helps everyone out from the young lads to myself.

"Whether that be doing extra conditioning or whatever, he's always there to help and he's just one of them positive voices in the dressing room.

"He'll be sorely missed but with how things have been going it's understandable."
