SAM Hornby has joined AFC Fylde on a short-term loan.
City’s back-up keeper has made two appearances since joining in the summer.
Hornby played against Preston in the 4-0 Carabao Cup defeat as well as the opening Leasing.com Trophy group game when the Bantams drew 1-1 at Bolton before winning on penalties.
The former Port Vale stopper will now remain with Fylde until at least the start of January.
City manager Gary Bowyer said: “It is a great opportunity for Sam to go and get minutes under his belt.
“We have seen how playing regularly has brought George Sykes-Kenworthy on - and we are wanting the same for Sam.
“He is joining a great club and we are excited to see him develop.”
