BULLS season-ticket sales are up a fifth on this time last year despite leaving Odsal.

The club have been pleasantly surprised with the early take-up for places for next season’s ground-share with Dewsbury.

Fans were recently invited to an open day at Tetley’s Stadium to look round their new home and the Bulls have been impressed with the response.

General manager Russ MacFarlane said: “It’s been positive.

“We had a great showing at the open day we did at Dewsbury. On the back of that, our online sales are ahead of where we were at this point a year ago.

“I’m pleasantly surprised. I’ve been monitoring it week in, week out and sometimes we are up and then down.

“But we’re now 20 per cent up compared with this time last year. Season tickets went on sale at exactly the same time.

“We’ve also seen increased interest in hospitality as well.

“We’re just seeing a steady increase in sales. We are over 50 per cent sold out in the seating stand.”

The Bulls are unable to put a date on when they will be out of special measures. The RFL are still to be satisfied with the information they have requested.

But MacFarlane believes the club can look forward to another decent crack at the Championship from their new base.

“On the back of a reasonably successful season, next year will be a massive one,” he added.

“It’s going to be more open if Toronto go up and a more even playing field.

“I know people like to paint a picture of doom and gloom with the club but it’s not too bad.

“Obviously it could be better. I can’t wait to be out of special measures and see where we go then.”
