SILSDEN’S Frankie Wainman Jr searches for World Championship success in the BriSCA F1 Stock Car Auto Tech Recruit World Championship this Saturday (5.30pm) at the Adrian Flux Arena, King’s Lynn.

Wainman is out for his fourth World Final victory - but he is yet to win the event around King’s Lynn in the previous four stagings of the event there, having come runner-up on three occasions before.

Wainman will line up alongside one of his biggest rivals, Tom Harris. The pair have been arch rivals for the last few years and Harris lines up on pole position.

Wainman will be on the outside doing his best to beat him, he will need to make his move early on to keep Wainman’s chances of success alive. He knows what he will have to do and he is hungry to win his fourth World Final.

Also lining up on the grid, making history in the process, is Frankie’s daughter Phoebe.

She has been racing for years, but only switch to the BriSCA F1 Stock Cars last season.

She is the first female to make the grid since 1995 and is the first father/daughter duo ever.

To really make it a family affair; Frankie’s brother, Danny, also makes the grid.

Danny could well be a dark horse in this event. While many of his fellow drivers race two specialist cars – one for each surface raced on, Danny made the decision to only use one for this year - which makes it a bit harder work for him in terms of set-up, but he’s certainly not showing any signs of a disadvantage, still mixing it with the best of them and regularly seeing consistent results with it too.

Danny starts inside row four and is certainly a dark horse for the main race this Saturday.

Frankie and Daniel’s father and Pheobe’s grandad, Frankie Wainman Snr, won the World final in 1979 – will this be an omen for this year’s World Final?
