BUOYED by going top of their league on goal difference, Liversedge hope an exciting start to the season continues in the FA Vase this weekend.

They lead the Toolstation North East Counties League Premier Division from Thackley following a 3-1 victory at Garforth Town on Tuesday night, with goals from Oliver Fearon, Shane Hamilton and Jake Thompson.

Now Liversedge are on the road again in the FA Vase second qualifying round when they travel to Ashton Athletic, who are 12th in the North West Counties Premier Division.

In other Vase ties, Albion Sports, mid-table in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, host Guisborough Town.
