OTLEY'S Lizzie Deignan and Alice Barnes head up Great Britain's six-strong women's elite team for the UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire later this month.
Former world champion Deignan and current national champion Barnes will compete in the 150km road race, which starts in Bradford on Saturday, September 28.
Barnes' sister Hannah, Lizzy Banks, Nikki Juniper and Anna Henderson have also been named in Britain's road race team.
Alice Barnes, also the reigning national time trial champion, will team up with European bronze medallist Hayley Simmonds in the 30km time trial, which starts in Ripon on September 24.
Deignan, world road race champion in 2015, said: "It is always an honour to be picked to represent your country and I can't wait to do so again this September in Yorkshire.
"It will be extra special as it's on home roads and a chance to race in front of friends and family. It's great to see so much strength in the British squad this year too."
