BRADFORD Moor earned an impressive win over high-flying Halifax Direct in Division A of the Dales Council League, with a stunning bowling performance from Riffat Shabir paving the way to victory.

He recorded figures of 4-8 as Fax were hustled out for 74. Moor struggled a little themselves, with Mohammed Iqbal taking 4-18, but reached their target of 75 with only five wickets down.

Woodhouse have almost sealed the title after hitting 269 at Daleside Road before bowling out Thornbury for 122.

Leeds Caribbean made the highest score of the day, smashing 355-7 thanks to Hamid Bashir's magnificent 114, before bowling out Mayfield for 153, with Nizam Piran taking 5-29, to send them second.

Leeds Sikh regained that second spot a day later, thumping lowly Cookridge by seven wickets. Wicket-keeper Amrit Bhogal starred in the Leeds chase, scoring 68 as they passed Cookridge's total of 143-7 with ease.

Meanwhile, Drighlington were bowled out for 116 by Crompark, before Afzal Khan thumped 92 not out to see his side to a nine-wicket victory.

First and third met in Division B in a thriller. Leaders One Stop were bowled out for 132, with Hamza Rana taking 6-45 for Thornbury B.

But his side were floundering in reply at 19-5, before Asim Yasin's magnificent 71 guided them to a three-wicket win.

Pudsey St Lawrence subsequently closed the gap at the top to just 12 points. They racked up 216-7, thanks largely to Phil Wilson's excellent 106, before bowling out bottom side Pudsey Congs for 111.

Elsewhere, Halifax Direct B were dismissed for 171 by Tong Park Esholt and it was an easy chase as opener Jai Aujla struck 85no in an eight-wicket win.

Muff Field were skittled for 97 by Adel, with Fahd Omar taking 5-17. But his side collapsed to lose by 10 runs, as they were dismissed for 87.

Cookridge B were bowled out for 128 by Leeds Sikh B, who replied with 131-3.

Division C leaders Shipley Providence were gifted 20 points when Morley conceded due to player unavailability.

There was an extraordinary performance by Ebrahim E Bismillah for second-placed Interlink against Drighlington B. He took 7-2 as Drig were dismissed for only 93, allowing his side to ease to a seven-wicket win.

Elsewhere, St Chads Broomfield made 163-4 before bowling out Rodley for 94, while Baildon B castled Cookridge C for 42 , with Ben Grimmitt taking 5-16, before replying with 45-4 for victory.
