CITY have signed Blackpool midfielder Harry Pritchard - as Sean Scannell went the other way in a separate deal.

Like Scannell, the 26-year-old cancelled his contract by mutual consent before signing permanently for Gary Bowyer's side on a two-year deal.

Pritchard was signed by Bowyer at Bloomfield Road after a prolific record with non-league Maidenhead United.

He netted six goals last season with Blackpool but has been limited to three sub appearances this term under Simon Grayson.

Pritchard gained a reputation as a free-scorer for Maidenhead playing on the left and right wing. But he has mainly been used more centrally as a box-to-box midfielder by the Tangerines.

He becomes City's 13th signing of the transfer window, which shuts at 5pm on Monday.

Bowyer said: "He has a knack of creating chances and scoring goals. He is someone who is only going to continue to get better and better."

Pritchard said: "I pride myself on hard work. I like to get up and down the field, helping out with assists and scoring goals."
