A YOUTHFUL Bradford Bulls Reserves fell to a 34-22 defeat at the hands of Hull FC last night.

A fast start saw Garreth Carvell’s outfit score successive tries before the home side hit back.

Hull ran in six scores without reply against a depleted side before two late Bradford tries reduced the arrears.

Bradford started the stronger of the two sides and went ahead – when a slick move created an overlap for Dalton Grant to touch down.

On the back of a break, Alix Stephenson then extended his side’s lead – shrugging off two would-be defenders to touch down and convert his own try.

Danny Washbrook – one of a number of Hull stars with Super League experience – handing off to Ryan Devaney to score.

The home side began to hit their straps and Jack Brown touched down before Washbrook and Devaney combined again as Hull took the lead for the first time.

Hull went back-to-back, Ben McNamara making a line break and touching down for the home side’s fourth of the evening.

Josh Atkinson then scored before Charlie Graham broke from the Hull half to take the home side past 30.

Bradford battled back into proceedings and refused to give in – scoring two tries without reply in response.
