CITY winger Sean Scannell has been strongly linked with a move to League One Blackpool - with reports suggesting Tangerines winger Harry Pritchard could be making the switch in reverse to join the Bantams.

The Telegraph & Argus understands that no deal for Scannell has been done as yet but one could be finalised on Friday.

The 28-year-old has not been training this week, but it is believed he has been ill.

He signed for City in July last year on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee. But he then underwent an injury-hit first season at Valley Parade.

Scannell played under current Blackpool and former City boss Simon Grayson at Huddersfield Town.

Thought to be one of the highest earners at Valley Parade, his potential exit would free up wages for Bantams boss Gary Bowyer as he looks to finalise his squad before Monday evening's transfer deadline.

Bowyer is thought to be looking to bring in a couple of additions and has been linked with Blackpool wideman Pritchard, who joined the Bloomfield Road club ahead of last season from non-league Maidenhead United.
