ROSS Peltier hopes Bulls can give Odsal 'the send-off it deserves' on Sunday.

Bradford host Sheffield in their final home Championship game of the season - and following the shock decision to leave their home since 1934, it also represents their final ever match at the historic venue.

Osdal has special meaning to Peltier, who supported the club as a youngster before becoming a player at the club.

The Bradford-born prop said: "I hope we see a lot of people there to give it the send-off it deserves.

"It’s going to be massive. It will be emotional for me. I’ve had so many good times on these terraces.

"From watching Bradford, from being a ball boy when I was 13, to playing and beating Leeds, it was something I’ve also dreamed of.

"Even walking out with my son on my 100th career appearance, it’s something I’ve always dreamed to do.

"To see Odsal go, it’s going to hurt and it’s going to be emotional but hopefully we can get another win."

The proposed move to Dewsbury was approved by the RFL on Friday - though only for next season, with the governing body requiring more financial information after claiming Bulls’ submitted plans for a return to the city lacked credibility.

Until this is provided to the RFL's satisfaction, the Bulls are in special measures and unable to sign players.

The game against Sheffield will undoubtedly be a poignant occasion, with the club having invited any former Bulls or Bradford Northern players to the event.

And there is also something riding on the match, with both teams still clinging to hopes they could still reach the play-offs.

Bulls need to win their final two matches and hope fifth-placed Featherstone lose their games at Batley and at home to Toulouse.

That was after Bulls won 34-10 at Dewsbury and Peltier, who scored a try on his return to the side, said: "It is out of our hands and we need to rely on other results but what we can do is keep winning.

"Dewsbury is a tough place to go - Fev found it hard and Toronto found it hard.

"With everything about us moving to Dewsbury, it could have been an excuse for us to drop points but the boys dug in and controlled what we could control."
