DALES Council League A Division leaders Woodhouse batted first at Meanwood Road and made 175 (Mohammed Faisal 6-45) with skipper Muhammad Faisal top scoring with 84.

In reply, nine-man Mayfield were skittled for just 42 (Abdullah Khan 4-7, Muhammad Faisal 4-27).

Second-placed Halifax Direct travelled to High Royds and scored 206-9 (Asad Rashid 47, Abdul Sattar 42) before bowling out Crompark for 110 (Mohammed Iqbal 4-7).

At Sands Lane, Savile Stars were bowled out for only 55 (Lewis McHale 5-10) by Drighlington who replied with 56-5 for victory.

Closest game in the division came at Daleside Road where home side Thornbury made 193-8 (Haroon Tariq 50, Kamran Ali 44) and then held the improving Bradford Moor side to 182-9 (Mussawar Hussain 41, Hasnaan Raja 40, Yassir Javed 4-40) for a narrow victory.

In the B Division, at Karmand, Halifax Direct B were bowled out for 81 (Aniket Bhatt 3-0) by Leaders One Stop, who replied with 84-1 (Raja Ali 64no) for a nine-wicket victory.

Second-placed Pudsey St Lawrence were also bowled out for 81 (Richard Allinson 35, Bilal Hussain 5-28), then Thornbury B collapsed to 26-6 before number eight batsman Hamza Rana (32) joined skipper Fez Hussain (22no) in a partnership of 53 for the seventh wicket to get them almost to their target but the away side scrambled to 83-7 for victory.

At Low Springs, Leeds Sikh B amassed the highest total of the day in scoring 289-5 with Vajinder Singh (97) and Guj Singh (52) putting on 137 for the first wicket before bowling out Tong Park Esholt for 146.

At Sandal, Adel were bowled out for 109 by Baildon, who replied with 110-4.

The match between Muff Field and Pudsey Congs was abandoned with no play.

In C Division, Shipley Providence took advantage of Interlink being on a bye week by scoring 156 (Elangovan Balakrishnan 48) and then bowling out Rodley for 74 (Partha Sarthy 4-16) at Salts Sports to narrow the gap at the top.

At Station Road, Drighlington B scored 167 and then bowled out St Chads Broomfield out for 153 (Will Brooke 76) for a narrow victory.

Both Mayfield B v Baildon B and Morley v Cookridge C abandoned with no play.
