A BRADFORD Bulls legend says he is gutted the club will re-locate to Dewsbury.

Stuart Fielden, who played for Bulls between 1998 and 2006, says he is 'gutted' the club has decided to make the switch from Odsal to Dewsbury.

He tweeted: "I’m absolutely gutted. A place I still love and have so many great memories. How the mighty have fallen. I feel for all the loyal Bulls fans #ourfamily."

The prop made 224 appearances for Bulls, scoring 43 tries. He won a number of honours during his spell with the club and scored a try in their 2001 Super League Grand Final victory against the Wigan Warriors.

In August 2007 he was named in Bradford Bulls' team of the Century.

Meanwhile, Mark Sawyer, Dewsbury Rams chairman, says he hopes his club's own supporters welcome the groundshre.

He said “It is important that we help such an iconic club as Bradford through this transitional period.

"We have negotiated mutually acceptable terms for the use of the Tetley’s Stadium as well as protecting our own interests in this two-year period.

“Our current capacity is capable of coping with the demands of Championship rugby league and should the Bulls be successful in obtaining promotion then we already have plans on how the ground capacity can be increased to meet Super League standards.

“We hope our own supporters will welcome this move since it helps to underpin what we are doing here at Dewsbury as well as providing a sustainable basis for Bradford.”
