BRADFORD Bulls Reserves saw off Featherstone Rovers 16-4 at a rain-sodden Odsal Stadium – with Alix Stephenson, Joe Brown and Harry Shackleton all scoring.

The home side got off to a fast start when a flowing move sent Stephenson over, before horrendous conditions played their part in an error ridden contest.

With seconds left before the hooter, Shackleton showed great awareness to work his way past four Featherstone defenders to touch down.

The second half started in the same vein as the first with Brown going over for a try of his own before a consolation score from Featherstone on the hour mark.

The likes of Callum Bustin, Dalton Grant and Joe Brown all featured in a strong Reserve grade outfit – with youngsters Ryan Leadbeater, Bradley Ho and Alex Handol also named.

On the back of a thumping win last time out, Garreth Carvell’s side raced out of the blocks to register an early score.

A slick move through hands on the right edge saw Brown find Stephenson with a superb cut-out pass, the youngster diving over in the corner on seven minutes.

Errors grew into the game as the rain made conditions difficult but that did not stop Shackleton making his mark before the break.

The half-back powered his way past two would-be defenders on the visiting line to extend the hosts’ advantage at half-time.

Brown started and finished a move soon after the interval, Dalton Grant making a break on the right on the back of a Brown pass before handing back to the supporting full-back to race clear.

A move through hands sent a Featherstone winger over late on in the right corner but it would only prove a consolation score with the home side holding firm in atrocious conditions.
