THE ENGLISH Football League has named Leasing.com as the official sponsor of the EFL Trophy until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

The competition, previously known as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and Checkatrade Trophy, will become known as the Leasing.com Trophy with immediate effect and kicks off this week with three fixtures featuring Premier League academy sides.

The Bantams' first group game in the competition is away to Bolton on Tuesday, September 3 with home matches against Manchester City under-21s (Tuesday, October 8) and Rochdale (Tuesday, November 12) to follow.

EFL chief commercial officer Ben Wright said: "With the revised format now firmly established, this competition continues to go from strength to strength and the EFL is looking forward to working with the Leasing.com team as we plot this season's journey to Wembley and move on to the next chapter of the EFL Trophy's history."
