BRADFORD (Park Avenue) had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Huddersfield Town's under-19s, having come from behind to lead heading into the final moments.

Garry Thompson's men welcomed the Championship club's youngsters to Horsfall Stadium for their final pre-season game before the National League North kicks off on Saturday.

Huddersfield made the initial breakthrough in the first half after Jack Bennett brought down Kit Elliott in the box and he got up to convert the penalty.

Bradford levelled in the 21st minute when Elliot Holmes produced a through ball which found Lewis Rathbone on the edge of the area and his shot found the bottom corner.

Park Avenue kept Town out with blocks from Mitch Lund and Rathbone, and Bennett made a save from Scott High when he was one-on-one.

Bradford had chances in the second half and went 2-1 up in the 76th minute when Ryan Cresswell headed home from a corner swung in from the left.

It looked like they were going to see out the win until the 89th minute when Tim Akinola struck late as honours ended even.
