SILSDEN host Charnock Richard tomorrow as they gear up for their first season in the Northern Counties League.

Danny Forrest's Cobbydalers, who lost 3-2 at Ilkley Town on Tuesday night, are looking to regain momentum after their league move under the Football Association's league re-structure this summer.

Silsden, who have suffered two 7-1 friendly defeats this summer, kick off their season in the Premier Division against Penistone Church on Saturday, August 3.

Meanwhile, Eccleshill United travel to Pontefract Collieries tomorrow.

Eccleshill drew 1-1 with Golcar United in their last friendly on Tuesday night, with Jacob Buchanan grabbing a 32nd-minute equaliser, just a minute after Golcar took the lead.

It is the Eagles' penultimate friendly before they host Scarborough Athletic next Tuesday.

Thackley host Tadcaster Albion tomorrow.

Thackley drew 2-2 at Harrogate Town Under-21s in their last friendly on Monday night. Thackley's strikes came courtesy of Owen Murphy (45) and Jack Normanton (71).

Farsley Celtic play their final friendly of pre-season tomorrow night when they host Albion Sports at The Citadel.

Celtic, who lost at Harrogate Town in their previous friendly, travel to Darlington on the opening day of the season following their promotion to the Vanarama National League North

Meanwhile, Steeton, who lost 3-2 to Barnoldswick Town in the inaugural Archie Airdrie Trophy clash last weekend, will play their final friendly at Liversedge on Tuesday night.

Liversedge beat North Gawber Colliery 4-1 through goals from Jake Thompson, Ollie Fearon (2) and Shane Hamilton.

Brighouse Town also have a weekend break from action as they have their final friendly of the summer next Tuesday night.

Vill Powell's side travel to Penistone Church. The Town boss has this week signed a new two-year deal with the club.

He said: “I’m delighted to have signed for another two years.

"It’s solely going to be a two-year project and I want to build on the success from last season.”
