CITY have announced their squad numbers for the new season.

A total of 25 members of the Bantams' first-team squad, including their 10 summer signings, have been handed numbers, with a host of changes made.

Joe Riley has vacated the number two shirt and will now wear 28. His number has been picked up by Kelvin Mellor, whose former number 15 shirt has - in turn - been filled by new signing Tyler French.

Fellow defensive recruits Jackson Longridge, Paudie O’Connor, Ben Richards-Everton and Adam Henley have picked up shirts three, four and five and 22 respectively. New goalkeeper Sam Hornby has been given the No.13 jersey.

New strikers, James Vaughan and Clayton Donaldson, have taken 12 and 10 respectively, with winger Zeli Ismail wearing 11 and midfielder Matt Palmer donning 16 over the duration of his season-long loan with the Bantams.

Jordan Gibson has moved from 27 to 17, while George Sykes-Kenworthy – having worn 31 last season – will now sport 30.

After spending last term out on loan with Lincoln City, Shay McCartan will wear the 14 shirt he had before his spell at Sincil Bank.
