City will open their League Two season at home to Cambridge on August 3.

And they will face a swift reunion with former Bantams striker James Hanson in their first away game at his new club Grimsby the week after.

The festive period sees City host big-spending Salford City, promoted from the National League, on Saturday, December 21 before a visit to Carlisle United on Boxing Day.

City then have two home games with Mansfield visiting on Sunday, December 29 followed by Morecambe on New Year's Day.

A first competitive meeting with Forest Green Rovers takes place at Valley Parade on Saturday, August 24, with the sides clashing in the return fixture on Good Friday (April 10).

City welcome Crewe on Easter Monday before finishing their season at home to Walsall on Saturday, April 25.
