BRADFORD City Women are set to re-launch their second string side.

After a short break, the Bantams have announced the return of their reserve side ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Pre-season preparations are underway already, with a number of trials announced for new prospective players.

The City Women's main team were relegated from the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division at the end of the last campaign.

They now take their place in the Division One North and the re-build includes a reserve side who will compete in the FA Women's Reserve League.

Manager Steve Winterburn said: "We are looking forward to a new beginning.

"Since the club’s announcement of next season’s plans, the interest shown from new players has been a breath of fresh air.

"We have a new chairman, new coaches, new structure, new ideas and new plans.

"There is also an exciting relationship with the men’s club, which has put smiles back on the faces of the people who have been working tirelessly to get this club back on track.

"I cannot wait to get our pre-season underway and bring the excitement back to Bradford City Women."

The club have also announced that player Phoebe Tomlin has left City to continue pursuing her dream in the USA.

Long-time treasurer Allyson Matthews has also left the club, stepping down from her role.

If you're interested in joining the club, open age (16+) pre-season trials are running every Tuesday and Thursday night (6:45pm-8:30pm) and on Sundays (10:00am-12:00pm) and beginning on Tuesday, June 25.

The trials are at Woodhouse Grove and run up until the start of the new season.

All new players are asked to register for the trials with their name, date of birth, any previous clubs, preferred playing position and available date to commence training.
