CITY have today confirmed that Liverpool are heading to Valley Parade in pre-season.

Jurgen Klopp’s Champions League winners will face the Bantams on Sunday, July 14 to raise money for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

The charity has been formed by City legend Stephen Darby, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2018, alongside close friend Chris Rimmer, who has been suffering with the condition for five years.

The all-ticket friendly will be Liverpool’s first visit since May 2001.

Darby said: “I am extremely grateful City and Liverpool will be playing each other during pre-season in support of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

“They are two amazing clubs, who formed a massive part of my career. Both will always hold a special place in my heart.

“I cannot thank both clubs and sets of fans enough for their support.”

Tickets will go on sale to season-ticket holders only from Monday. They will have until Friday, June 21 to secure a seat. They will be available for general sale from Monday, June 24.

City supporters will be housed in the Kop, North West corner and JCT600 stand. Liverpool fans will be in the Midland Road stand.

Admission will be £15 for adults, £10 seniors, students and under-16s and £5 for under-11s.

Season-tickets holders can only buy one ticket per season ticket during the initial period of exclusivity.
