BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have secured their place in the National League North play-offs despite losing 3-2 at Chorley this afternoon.

Avenue finish the season in seventh place - ahead of AFC Telford courtesy of a better goal difference of one after the Shropshire side lost 1-0 at York City.

Mark Bower's men will now travel to Spennymoor Town on Wednesday for the play-off eliminator, with the semi-finals taking place the following Sunday.

Avenue took the lead with a first-half penalty from Jake Beesley only for Louis Almond to make 1-1 at half-time.

Almond made it 2-1 early in the second half only for Oli Johnson to equalise a minute later.

A great finish from Almond to secure his hat-trick on 89 minutes left Avenue with a nervous finale before news that York's win over Telford meant their place in the play-offs for the second successive season was confirmed.

Meanwhile, Farsley were crowned Evo-Stik League Premier Division champions after a 2-0 win at home to Marine thanks to goals from Will Hayhurst and Jimmy Spencer.

Campion lost out on the title in Northern Counties East League Division One after they were beaten 4-2 at Grimsby Borough, whose win saw them pip the Bradford side to the crown by two points.
