IT has been a busy few weeks for the Airecentre Pacers with many runners competing in a host of local races.

Five Pacers completed the Manchester Marathon with fantastic performances from Andrew Humphries who ran the 26.2 mile course in two hours 46 minutes, Andrew Smith (2.58), Kate Macfarlane (3.39), Simon Molyneux (3.45) and Sally Haigh (3.53).

Closer to home, Richard Walker was the first Pacer home in the Baildon Boundary Way in one hour 40 minutes.

Other Pacers completing this challenging trail half marathon were Cathy Stothers (2.04.05), Nick Leathley (2.04.17), Graham Turner (2.06.54), Sally Christy (2.17.35), Louise Holloway (2.17.40), Isobel Hainsworth-Brear (2.18.07), Rachel Jovanovic (2.45.47), Amanda Connolly (2.45.59), Sharon Elms (2.47.33), Bernadette Murby (2.47.35), Nick Ford (2.47.35) and Ewan Pearson (2.52.58).

A group of Pacers had a trip to the Dales to compete in the challenging Burnsall Half Marathon.

There were some impressive results with Paul Grindley coming third in the M50 category with a time of 2.01.43 whilst Sally Haigh was also third in the W50 category in 2.09.43.

They were followed by Helen Marie Waite (2.30.10), Lynda Parkinson (2.35.05) and Sheila Rosalind Thomas, who was an impressive first in the W60 category with a time of 2.35.29.

In the Vale of York 10-mile race Dorothy Darnbrough was the first Pacer home in 1.39.17, followed by Amanda Connor in 1.49.12.

Branching out into triathlon, several Pacers competed in the Skipton Triathlon.

The fastest Pacer to complete the swim, cycle and run was Amanda Connolly in 1.39.12, followed by Claire Hunter (1.45.03), Steve Tindall (1.53.03) and Catherine Tindall (1.54.38).
