SIX shooting stars have put Campion back in pole position to secure the title and promotion.

The Bradford side were temporarily pushed down to third in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One after Hallam's victory on Tuesday.

But, a 7-2 home win against strugglers Harworth Colliery meant Campion took back what was their's from Hallam.

It was happy Days early doors for Campion when they rushed into a 2-0 lead through Marcus Day and Aiden Day.

Alex Cusack added to the host's advantage with a 30th minute strike, but Harworth struck back five minutes later when Matthew Robinson scored a penalty.

Nerves may have jingled when the visitors made it 3-2 just five minutes into the second-half through Thomas Mullen.

But, a 30 minute onslaught from Campion in response - beginning with an Omar Habeeb goal and ending with 90th minute Jason Davis strike - sealed the three points.

The two goals in-between came from Marcus Day and Jahro Parchment.

Despite now occupying second spot, Campion sit level on points with leaders Grimsby Borough with a game in hand.

Next up for the title challengers are seventh-placed Worsbrough Bridge Athletic at home.

In the Premier Division, Eccleshill United's season is ending with a whimper, after losing on Wednesday evening and shipping seven goals for the second game in a row.

This time out, they lost 7-3 in front of a home crowd of 73 to second-placed Penistone Church.

An Adam Shaw brace and a single goal for Christopher Lever couldn't stop a rampant Penistone were helped by Kieran Ryan's hat-trick.

Eccleshill face a derby tie this weekend at home to Liversedge who also were in action mid-week.

They hosted Barton Town on Tuesday evening and secured a modest 1-0 win through a late Danny Farrar strike.

Liversedge have now won their last seven and will present a tough task for struggling Eccleshill.

Elsewhere, Thackley pulled through as 5-3 victors in an eight-goal thriller against Harrogate Railway Athletic, while Albion Sports lost 4-1 away to Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Thackley play away at Handsworth Parramore next, with Albion Sports hosting Worksop Town.
