BRADFORD (Park Avenue) Women can move up to fifth in the West Riding Premier Division with a win at Silsden this weekend.

Their hosts also desperately need the points after dropping down to last place after Middleton Athletic surprisingly defeated the leaders Hepworth United.

The midweek action saw Thackley beat Ilkley 4-0, with their goals coming from Lois Cooper and an Annie Nichol hat-trick.

Brighouse Athletic have a League Shield tie against First Division leaders Ripon City at Tingley tomorrow (11am), and later Brayton Belles play Farsley Junior First in the League Cup (2pm) at the same venue.

In National Division One, Brighouse Town play basement side Crewe Alexandra at St. Giles Road, while Leeds United entertain Bolton Wanderers at Thorp Arch.

In midweek, Town were 1-0 down at half-time in the first semi-final of the West Riding County Cup against Regional South side Harrogate Town.

However – in an excellent game at Woodlesford – Brighouse went through 3-2, with goals from Cara Mahoney and an Aimi Beresford brace.
