BRADFORD (Park Avenue) player Conor Branson has won the Vanarama National League North player of the month for March.

The versatile Branson, who can play in defence or midfield, has scored a number of important goals to help reignite Avenue's play-off push.

He claimed four goals in March, including one away in a crucial win at fellow promotion rivals Spennymoor Town.

Having signed an extended contract earlier this year, Branson - one of a clutch of players who have joined Avenue after spells playing in America - has gone from strength to strength.

And an impressive month for Mark Bower's side, who only lost once in March, has left them well placed in fifth spot ahead of tomorrow's trip to Kidderminster Harriers.
