SILSDEN AFC Under 17s Feyenoord are celebrating double cup success.

The junior side most recently made it through to the final of the Harrogate and District League Under 17s Cup.

Silsden also gave a strong showing in the Styan Cup which is for teams a year above their age bracket.

In this competition, the side booked a place in the quarter finals with the tie due to be played this Sunday.

Tadcaster Magnets will be glad to see the back of Silsden, who knocked the North-Yorkshire side out of the two competitions to progress.

Across both fixtures, Silsden hit 14 with the Magnets mustering a measly four in comparison.

It was a magnificent eight for the victors in the semis of Harrogate and District League Cup.

Visitors Tadcaster only managed one goal in response and it was the performance of Silsden Man of the Match Cameron White that set the game alight.

He got half of Silsden's impressive haul, also adding an assist to his four goals.

Joel Phillip wasn't far behind with a hat-trick and Luke Latham was the last name on the scoresheet for the hosts.

The final will see Silsden come up against Pool at some point next month.

There's still a long way to go in the Under 18s Styan Cup, but the youth side are still making progress there.

This time, Silsden played at Tadcaster's ground in the last-16.

It was a closer fought affair, with the visitors winning through 6-3 in the end.

White was on the scoresheet in this one too, with a brace to his name.

Latham got himself a hat-trick and Nathan Bullock rounded off the list.

The team will face Beckwithshaw Saints away in quarters on Sunday, April 7, after beating the side 4-2 in the league at the weekend.

In a strange turn of fate, Silsden will also play Beckwithshaw in the reverse league fixture a week after the cup tie.

They also have more out-of-league action to come, in the form of the Blackpool International Cup over Easter which sees sides from England, Scotland, Wales, Denmark and Germany compete together.
