PHIL Crump has been inducted into the Australian Motorsport Hall Of Fame.
The Mildura-born rider first rode at Odsal in 1971 for the Crewe Kings against Bradford Northern.
He had the distinction of winning the first race (and holding the track record) back at Odsal, riding for Australia on May 12, 1985 when Speedway returned to Bradford after a 10-year gap. The stadium would host the World Final three months later.
His son, Jason, would eclipse his dad, in becoming World Champion three times.
Jason also rode in the final meeting at Odsal on October 11, 1997.
